Professional Experience

Ilona has over thirty years of professional experience in through all phases of design, approvals and Construction for churches, schools, commercial, industrial and residential projects.  She brings particular skill and focus to efficient and thoroughly functional plan layout and space utilization, which she developed through assisting clients in refining their project expectations.  Ilona has the proven ability to produce visually exciting and aesthetically pleasing designs. Ilona has extensive experience dealing with, and coordinating between, the owners, the public, the governing bodies and the project team, resulting in smooth running projects that finish on time and within budget. Ilona is part of the Lauterbach team for nearly 20 years and during this time had worked on numerous projects on the company list, including the Project for the City of Oxnard preparing the study for the Senior Center site selection and needs assessment report with recommendations for development. Among other projects is a large development for Mercy Housing California in Santa Barbara composed of 95 Senior apartments and related amenities and 74 Affordable Family apartments. Most recently Ilona completed a comprehensive remodel of a convent for Sisters of Notre Dame in Thousand Oaks and a new Medical Clinic for Clinicas del Camino Real in Simi Valley.

In addition to English, Ilona is fluent in both Russian and Romanian languages.
