St. Vincent's Administration Building
The St. Vincent's Administration building is part of the Daughters of Charity Santa Barbara campus. Completed in 2007, the project replaced two existing buildings while also renovating the old sanctuary into a multi-purpose space of approximately 6,200 SF. The administrative building itself has 5,500 SF of office space, which is designed to be a welcoming, efficient space for residents and staff. In addition, the religious identity is signified by features such as the introduction of a historic stained glass window in the reception area. The consistent goal was the integration of the Administration building—new and renovated—with the newly constructed St. Vincent's Gardens Family Housing and Villa Caridad Senior Housing with the older buildings. The original campus serves single mothers with children, and includes a daycare facility, and a pool building now shared by the whole community. The Administration building provides the connection that brings the old and the new together to create one community.
